I'm a North Carolina native living in the Seattle suburb of Kirkland, Washington. I'm a graduate of Winthrop University in Rock Hill, South Carolina, with a Bachelor's degree in Communications.

I've lived in the Seattle area for 25 years, working in the tech industry at companies including Microsoft and Amazon.com. I've held certifications as a Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) and Microsoft Certified Application Specialist (MCAS).

I'm a technical communicator, UI text creator, content writer, and content publishing specialist with more than 20 years experience with end-user documentation, assistance content, and user interfaces. I turn engineering-speak into customer-friendly content. I worked at Microsoft on five releases of Microsoft Outlook (2002, 2003, 2007, 2010, 2013). I'm now a Senior Technical Writer for Amazon Video in Seattle.

I have a high tech/geek affinity. I enjoy sci-fi, digital photography, smart TV dramas, cycling, genealogy, and keeping up with current affairs, finance, and politics. I'm a licensed Amateur Extra class amateur radio operator (KZ7U) and owner of KirklandWeather.com.
